Following the RCCM and HAF604 certifications, the organisation and the quality system of Manoir Pîtres’ plant has been successfully awarded Section III (Material Organisation) by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). This certification defines the rules for equipment construction that is subject to the Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code in nuclear plants worldwide.
This success is recognition for Manoir Pîtres’ technical excellence, its quality control organisation, its reactivity, its high degree of rigor and its team’s involvement in the parts’ processing intended for the nuclear market.
Manoir Pîtres is now the first French foundry that has been granted all existing nuclear certifications. Relative to its customers, it is positioned as a key partner in processing a wide range of cast components, such as elbows, pump casings, valve bodies, loops for primary circuits and components for generator steam engines; this is particularly with respect to the Chinese market in which many power stations are built according to this ASME III Code.
With 60 contract references in France and abroad, Manoir Pîtres has accumulated more than 40 years of nuclear expertise in cast components with complex shapes, manufacturing from elaborate alloys, and executed directly for operators or in partnership with major nuclear companies, to whom Manoir Pîtres provides a large range of services from supplying raw or rough-cast products to the delivery of finished, machined and tested parts ready to be fitted or assembled.
