It was back in 1994 that the first discussions between Manoir Industries and Yantai Alloy Tube Factory took place, initiating what will be the first joint venture put in place by Manoir Industries.
The JV was formally founded in 2000, for both nuclear and petrochemical markets, with the first overseas jobs produced in 2002.
It was decided in 2004 that the Sales team of Manoir Industries in France would manage the sales of the whole Business Unit, meaning sales of the Manoir Yantai products internationally.
In 2006, the JV was restructured to be separated into 2 different JV’s, one for the Petrochemical market and one for the Nuclear marlet. The Petrochemical JV was then under full responsibilities and management of Manoir Industries. The know-how was transferred from Manoir Industries to the Nuclear JV which led this plant to be engaged in the supply of a large amount primary loops for nuclear power reactors.
Full acquisition of the Petrochemical JV by Manoir was done in 2010, leading Yantai Manoir to be 100% owned by Manoir Industries, achieving in 2016 a share of 85% of overseas jobs, while the Nuclear JV was fully owned by our partner THM.
To date, the petrochemical plant is qualified by the vast majority of all actors of this sector market, and THM products are more and more worldwide marketed.
