Since 1998, the European Ethylene Producers Conference (EEPC) has been organising a yearly three-day conference whose purpose is to provide a platform for the exchange of non-confidential information relating to the health, safety, and environmental (HSE) issues encountered in the production and handling of ethylene. From 2011, EEPC has also organised a thematic workshop in addition to the conference.
This year’s workshop – from 25th – 27th February in Amsterdam, The Netherlands – was on furnace asset management. The topic was aiming to provide a holistic view and integrate everything about ”what the industry needs to know today”:
- the current and future changes in the industry standards and legal requirements;
- lessons learned and the latest developments; and
- furnace design, operability, maintainability and reliability.
Together with Dow, Manoir Industries was selected to co-present a paper on new trends in metallurgy for radiant coils. The feedback was very positive. The workshop gathered approximately 100 people from 30 companies. Exhibiting this year were ten sponsors – among them TubeTech International, and Manoir Industries, including Hugues Chasselin and Bruno Lucas – and some key equipment suppliers of various sectors including burners, refractory and engineering. This event was a perfect platform to create and strengthen connections with clients.
We look forward to meeting you again in October at the EEPC in Marseille.
